Well ya know, just because there isn’t enough time to read it doesn’t mean they won’t pass it. After all, you have to pass it to know what’s in it… Oh yeah, the same thing was done with the health care bill.

I would like to see the senators in Texas so that. They would end up in a creek somewhere being chewed upon by racoons.

Anthony while I see this passage of state law as a blow to our second amendment liberties, I implore you to remember that the people can seek redress through our judiciary. Let’s wait and see what steps the NRA are going to take. You are a member and you can advocate on behalf of our constitutional rights. I have not yet had the opportunity to read this legislation. I am sure however it is full of points of legal redress. Give it a few months let’s just see what happens. Remember this legislation was rushed through the legislature in response to a horrific incident in which 23 innocents were slaughtered at the hands of a madman. “Was this point ever made in the heat of those discussions, was the gun mans mental state at the time of the incident even brought up for discussion?” ” Has it ever been determined why this woman was training a mentally unstable individual to handle a firearm?” The firearms used were not registered to the individual responsible for committing this act. His second crime. The cold-blooded murder of his mother was the first. Let’s just say for arguments sake that after that he was beyond the point of no return. He decided in his demented mind to go out in a blaze of glory. Only those he perceived to be his tormentors were from his youth. Being bottled up like they were it was only inevitable that he explode.
Bottom line, the legislature had it’s say and now it will soon be up to the judiciary to decide the legality of this law. That is our system of governance 3 co-equal branches neither more powerful than the other.

Yep.. like Obamacare.. Give it time and it will become worse. The time is now, not in a few months, to stand up, This is precisely parallel to every other despotic system in the world where disarming the citizens is the precursor to enslaving and murdering them. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Chris: There is a 4th branch of our government that holds authority over the other 3. That is the people. We have authority over them and need no permission to exercise it from them. Nixon resigned from office by public impeachment not by judiciary review. Nixon did not commit low level burglary. However, the NYS Senate did offend the US Constitution and under the guise of protecting the public, whereas in all realistic practicality that is a falsehood. It is a gun grab. Be it incremental or sweeping. This is one of those times where silence in the face of such a perverse act is tantamount to complicity. Action my prudent Friend is the prudent course today.

Unconstitutional law isn’t Law. You need to realize that those tragedies are a stepping stone to this governments disarming of it’s citizens. Oh and I’m so dumbfounded that you would consider the “judiciary to decide the legality of this law”? Are you kidding me? If it’s unconstitutional it’s not law but words that you’ll follow because “they” secretly meet after close of business and vote on a bill to one day abolish our 2nd Amendment Rights because “we have to do something now”? I can honestly tell you that I wasn’t born on American soil nor am I an American Citizen but I was born on American protected territory in the Marshall Islands and I served in the United States Marine Corps for four proud years as an 0341 (infantry/mortarman). I can tell you when I took that oath to defend the Constitution of the United States from enemies foreign and domestic. I meant those words. So you saying that someone else in our government is going to look into it, that’s very naive of you. To think that our own government will correct itself. We the people from time to time have to correct the people that we vote into office. It’s sad that you wont fight for your Rights as a free man let alone a free American. If you wont fight for those Rights for yourself then think about the future generations that will most likely suffer your choices now!

The entire state police force should unanimously stand up in resistance against enforcing this, a force-wide boycott. It isn’t possible to fire an entire state police force.

It is high time to get rid of these Senators, and those who disregard the Constitution of the United States and bring charges against them as treasonous pigs that they are.

If you’re a Cuomo, it doesn’t matter what your first name might be. Mario, Andrew; it doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is personal ambition, political aspiration, and center camera. Damn the people, full speed ahead, eh? When are NY’ers EVER going to wise up and throw the libtards out of every branch of gov’t? Keep voting Democrat and you had better understand that ye reap what you sow. Want further examples of what the likes of Cuomo, Schumer and Rangel are doing to us? Yeah, just look at the condition of our roadways. And then look at what we pay for the privilege to cross the GWB, VZ, RFK, etc., etc.
    BOHICA.

The NY electorate is largely a group of ignor-anuses blindly following their anointed ones. Sheeple…………

I see a list of 44 individuals who should be in Orange Jump suits and on trial for their very lives as traitors to the Constitution. I see none of them actually have read and understand the 2nd Amendment at all, or just hate the country and the idea that free men need firearms in order to protect their rights given to them from an unseen Creator.

Is there anyone here who does not quite understand the term; “public impeachment”? Nixon resigned from office as a result of public impeachment. That is the prudent and constitutional course of action.

It’s going to have to come through social networks and alternate media, this time, Anthony. The Reich Press Chamber abrogated their responsibilities to a free country some decades ago, and are now nothing but the Propaganda Ministry for the Leftist “Elite”.

    Mr.
Mele, I just saw your speech at the NY state capitol and I want to
thank you for the stand that you’re taking against gun control and the
apparent traitors in our government. I firmly believe the cowards in
government are not expecting the firestorm this is causing and is going
to cause. It won’t be like in the 90′s when Clinton did the assault
weapon ban. People are waking up to their hidden agendas and the plans
for the UN’s total weapons ban. Hopefully, patriots and the good
citizens who value our constitution will prevail!

I’d also like to thank you for your service to our country and I
thank God we still have good men and women like you to protect the USA!

Miss Kitty: It was my honor. Now, we need to pull together and advance nullification. Demand your legislators to act on it. Ask your local sheriff to kindly not enforce it.
