“Well, if armed guards are good enough to protect a Newspaper from their readers, then a legal firearm is good enough to protect free people from their government.” ~ Anthony Melé
This very idea that free people have the inalienable right to engage professional security agents to protect them with guns for hire is not inconsistent with the Journal News Editors’ message of mistrust for gun-owners.
The Editor’s at the Journal News possess such a deep seeded psychosis of paranoia against their own readers they would take the steps of hiring guns to impart the impression that they are willing to kill you, for the temerity of expressing your disapproval of their brand of yellow journalism.
If you are like me, we believe the individual has the liberty to keep and bear arms despite the animus demonstrated by the Rockland Journal Newspaper against the law abiding.
Instead, let’s welcome their decision to exercise their right to pursue the happiness of feeling secure, precisely because they are free to do so, guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, they too despise.
How ironic, that this very same News organization that would abuse the power of the press to deny you your own security, yet express that entitlement is reserved for none but the lofty, like themselves.
They published a headline dripping with disdain for law abiding pistol permit holders. They communicated a warning of suspicion to your neighbors, under the guise of a public service to help keep children away from you dangerous people; in the manner they would a felon pedophile. They now say, look we have to hire killers with orders to shoot you, if you come anywhere near our throne room.
They harbor an unreasonable fear of free people possessed of the right to defend themselves from their own government or miscreants seeking to do us harm. It is wrong to pronounce the 2nd Amendment precluded modern weaponry because the Founders could not imagine them.
I reject in whole, any who try to defame the founding principles that made this nation great, by accusing the Founder’s of being too primitive to anticipate new innovations and inventions, whey they themselves were innovators and inventors, that changed the planet and freed millions of human beings for generations yet to come by their farsightedness.
The actions we expect of our elected representatives and tax paid public servants are they should be better custodians of our privacy and tax dollars. Nothing less than a unanimous resolution that they would pass no law that would further infringe on our gun rights will cool this fire.
We politely ask our good Sheriff pledge and assure us openly, he would refuse to enforce any regulation that would offend the Bill of Rights in spirit or word.
Of us, the people, I suggest we exercise our purchasing power as consumers to any newspaper or advertiser compelled to abuse their public trust or assume they be Lords over us.
We tax payers, must flex our voting power to un-elect every single official who does not abide by their oath of office, in spirit, word or deed.
To the Editors of the Rockland Journal News, be reminded of the wisdom that says; “security without freedom is called jail.”
